The event will be held in English. Attendance is free of charge and no booking is required.

As part of the European Art Fellowship of the District Council of Upper Bavaria, featuring guests from the Netherlands and Cyprus who are currently living and working at the Schafhof.

>> Meet the Artists: Get to know our two amazing guest artists, Sotiris Ioannides from Limassol (Cyprus) and Danya Pilchen from Rotterdam (Netherlands), at our Open Studios. Through a colorful program full of surprises, engaging conversations, and a studio tour, discover how the two of them live at the Schafhof and create their artworks:

Danya Pilchen is a Ukranian composer based in The Hague. His primary interest lies in the human experience of time and music’s ability to shed light on it. He has composed for a wide range of contexts, including solo pieces, ensemble and orchestral works, and music for theater productions. A significant part of his work involves creating immersive sound installations that incorporate instrumental performances.
Danya’s music is closely intertwined with his research on collective experiences of time in musical practices.

Sotiris Ioannides: “Through my art, I express my thoughts and experiences, influenced by themes from mythology and existential philosophy. My work is not only a reflection of my mind’s fascination, but also an exploration of memory and its complex interplay with history. With brush and canvas, I immerse myself in the rich traditions of Greek mythology and draw upon timeless stories, figures, and symbols to build a bridge between antiquity and the modern world.”
