"I graduated from the Faculty of Art and Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Ústí nad Labem in the Photography studio under the guidance of Lukáš Jasanský and Silvia Milková, where my artistic work began. After graduating from the bachelor's degree, I went on to the follow-up master's degree, where I joined the Digital Media studio at the same faculty, this time under the guidance of Michaela Thelenová and Radek Jandera.
Social context plays an important role in my work. I often draw on personal experiences, which I try to free from the commonplace and classical thinking and representation. It is close to me to react to people in the context of various life situations that we are all surrounded by, and which we usually do not even perceive. In this way I try to draw the viewer's attention to the importance of the banal in a direct, non-aggressive and very sensitive way. The central theme for me is therefore the human being himself and his perception of the world. The themes I respond to are interpersonal relationships, the transformation of living space, questions of home, human existence, mental disorders, etc.
The focus of my work lies in photography, which has enchanted me with its malleability and dynamism. For me, it is not only a raw record, but also a material that can be further worked with. I see great potential in it as a medium of information. I am exploring its significance and limits in the present. I don't work purely as a photographer. I work mainly with technical images, which overlap with many artistic disciplines, such as moving image."
