3D museum as a virtual reality experience
The archiving project Schafhof . n e x t is a 3D simulation of the exhibition rooms of the Schafhof - European Art Forum of the District of Upper Bavaria in Freising. Some outstanding exhibitions of the past years are digitally recreated and can be virtually walked through like in a video game. We would like to thank the artists involved for their co-operation. The project is still under construction and further exhibitions will be added.
The artist Lucia Günther, who used to work at the Schafhof as a volunteer in the FSJ-Kultur programme, has created a 3D replica of the exhibition rooms of the Kunstforum im Schafhof and created some of the exhibitions from the past 12 years as a virtual world of experience. On the first weekend in April, she will be presenting these on site in the Digital*Studio of the European Art Forum and invites anyone interested to look around the digital simulation for themselves using VR glasses.
Exhibitions at the Kunstforum as a digital simulation
