About the exhibition
The interdisciplinary project at the intersection of nature, tradition and technology is committed to the exploration and preservation of the river as a cultural space. Initiated by the Lithuanian artist Patricija Gilytė, who lives in Wolfratshausen, a multi-part flag is being designed and produced in cooperation with the Lithuanian artists Ieva Šlekytė Gasiūnienė and Laura Pavilonytė-Ežerskienė as a symbolic art object for the course of the Isar. By thematizing the river as a natural and living space, it becomes clear that it connects cities and rural areas, regions and countries.
