Art Interventions

Art interventions in public space include sculptures, installations, wall and floor works or conceptual works of art. The works were developed following a long and intensive examination of the natural surrounds and history of the Schafhof ‒ European Art Forum Upper Bavaria. They were created during an artist residency connected to the District of Upper Bavaria European Art Fellowship or for an exhibition project at the Art Forum.

The Art Forum has thus established and continues to build an outdoor collection of contemporary works of art closely tied to the building and its function. The collection complements the temporary exhibition program and is open to the public at almost all times. The impression of the artworks change with the seasons and time leaves its marks. In developing the collection, emphasis was placed on achieving a diversity of artistic expressions in order to offer a broad overview of contemporary art forms in public space.
