Art & Communication

Without publicity, the visual arts remain hidden, which is why they need targeted communication forums. To design these professionally, certified visual artist and art historian Alexandra M. Hoffmann offers a range of services.

As an experienced art critic who has worked for various newspapers, magazines and specialist journals since co-founding ‘ARTmagazin’ in Nuremberg in 1990, including for the Süddeutsche Zeitung, she is predestined to write PR and catalogue texts for artists, galleries and museums, as well as opening speeches.

As a knowledgeable expert on the current scene, the accomplished lecturer has been leading practical courses and guided tours of exhibitions for over 20 years and gives lectures on art theory.

As a visual artist who has been present on the art market since 1982, she knows how important it is to bridge the gap between practice and theory. Based on this personal experience, she pays particular attention to communicating in a clear and easily understandable manner.

What does art say? Gallery visits

Art, it is said, is a seismograph of its time. Visual artists take their positions using a wide variety of means and methods. While one takes a direct stance on current events, another constructs encrypted works, and yet another shows in poetic ways that it is worthwhile to sharpen one's perception. Whether fragile or radical – so what does art say?

Once a month, let yourself be introduced to the world of contemporary art to gain new inspiration and ideas. A. M. Hoffmann offers you the opportunity to do so in ongoing guided tours of jointly selected exhibitions in Munich galleries.
