About the exhibition
The spectacular sound sculpture Cycloïd-E by the two Swiss artists André and Michel Décosterd (artist duo Cod.Act) is a chaos pendulum with a diameter of more than 10 meter. It consists of five horizontal metal pipes fixed to each other. Each piece is connected to a sensor and a loudspeaker. The accidental swing of the metal pipes creates a unique sound effect. The interaction of the physical powers stimulates the visual and acoustical perception at the same time, and it delivers a hypnotising impact on the viewer.
