About the Artists
Katinka Hajas and Rima Almozayyen are artists-in-residence at Schafhof in the framework of the European Art Fellowship of the District Council of Upper Bavaria since March 2020. During their stay the lockdown happened due to the Covid19 virus. The artists used this time for intensive work on several projects in their studios at the Schafhof. Since their shared isolation time the two artists are tied by a close friendship that will last beyond their residence in Freising.
Katinka Hajas, born 1985 in Hungary, finished a video piece during her stay at the Schafhof that will be presented in the Studio Exhibition. In April she developed an installation in the outdoor area around the art center. White clothes were colored with blue pigments by the rain until they matched the color of the sky.

Rima Almozayyen, born 1977 in Damascus, completed several series of paintings and objects during her residence time at the Schafhof. Her series "legislator(Barcode)" deals with the Covis19-virus situation. She placed an interactive intervention on the outside wall of the building that is accessible until end of June, 2020.
