Preface

The goal of the European artist exchange of the District County of Upper Bavaria is to consolidate the cultural relations between countries of the European community by a partnership and to enrich the regional as well as the Upper Bavarian cultural scene.

The artist exchange with Vallisa Cultura Onlus in Bari started in April, 2019. One artist each from Italy and from Upper Bavaria are living and working for each 3 months in the respective partner country.

About the Artist-in-residence in Bari

The partner institution Vallisa Cultura Onlus organizes cultural programs of all artistic fields in the region of Bari. The artistic assistance of the guest artists in Bari is undertaken by the artists from the art association Federico II Eventi, which is the host of the art biennale BibArt in Bari as well.

Leistungen des Stipendiums

• Free accommodation and working space
• A scholarship of 800 € / month. The amount includes the production budget.
• Travel costs (one time return, most favorable connection, after agreement).
• Participation in an exhibition at the European Center for Art Upper Bavaria – Schafhof in Freising in the following year.

Knowledge of Italian language is helpful.
